New Year’s Eve is a fantastic celebration in all parts of the world, but there is something about being surrounded by snow in the majestic Canadian Rockies that will make New Year 2011-2012 in Jasper difficult to beat. Hotels in Jasper are sure to be busy on December 31 and early reservations are strongly recommended.

Several Jasper accommodations have put together special New Years packages, some of which we have featured below:
Perhaps the widest selection of celebrations and activities can be found at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge where you will find several New Year dinner options, a New Year’s Eve party, and a New Year’s Day brunch. Being Jasper’s largest hotel, this may be your best bet if other accommodations in Jasper are already full.

The Sawridge Inn is also offering two special 2 night New Year packages:
Their Family New Year Celebration Package is a two night package which includes hotel accommodation for 2 nights, buffet breakfast each morning, a New Year’s Eve family dinner on December 31 2011, New Years beach party and dance with a countdown to 2012 and celebrations at midnight. The package starts at $304 per adult and is valid for arrivals on December 30 or December 31 2011.
The Gourmet New Year Package is a another two night deal for arrivals on Dec 30 or 31 and takes the celebration up a couple of notches. Starting at $339 per adult, the package includes accommodations for 2 nights, daily buffet breakfast, a gourmet five course table d’hote dinner on New Year’s Eve, and a New Year party with countdown and celebration.
No Vacancy ?
If you are struggling to find a vacancy at Jasper hotels for New Year’s Eve, an alternative would be to stay at a hotel in Hinton, approx 75km east of Jasper. New Years Eve Party at the Whistle Stop Pub
The Whistle Stop Pub at Whistler’s Inn will be open as normal on December 31st 2011, and will feature drinks specials. There is no charge for entrance, which means it will get busy so it’s recommended to get there early!

New Year’s Day may be a day of recovery for many, but for those with some energy in reserve, skiing at Marmot Basin would be a great option, or to continue the indulgence, New Year’s Day brunch at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge would be the perfect way to carry on the party.
